Hey! My name is Christine, I’m 26 and from the Bronx and a Starbucks Barista while going to graduate school to get my master’s in elementary education. I’m a figure skater and have been doing it for five years. I love to choreograph and I’m hoping to choreograph my own skating programs in the future. I love Broadway plays and my favorite ones are Rock of Ages and Phantom of the Opera. I love music: David Cook, Constantine Maroulis, Andy Skib and Adam Lambert are my favorite singers. My favorite music groups are Midwest Kings, Green River Ordinance, SafetySuit, NKOTB, Hanson and the Beatles. My favorite song of all time is Hallelujah by Jeff Buckley. His version is my favorite. I love movies and my two absolutely favorite ones are Grease and Across the Universe. I love to read and am a big fan of the Harry Potter series and Twilight series. My other favorite authors are Dan Brown and Stephen King. I love anything with magic and my favorite magicians are Criss Angel Houdini. I’m just an average 26 year old who loves spending time with my friends and going out in the city whenever I can to hang out. Anything else you wanna know…feel free to ask :)

| Parking! |
[06 Jan 2010|08:45pm] |
I'm online trying to purchase a permit and it's saying, "You are ineligble to purchase a permit. Please contact the parking office if you feel this is an error."
I've never had a permit, just switched to the Tampa campus, and have never had a citation. I do have like 6 outstanding parking tickets in St. Petersburg (from the city, not USF). What could cause this? Thanks!

| 2 months, tams, and dreadbands |
[06 Jan 2010|06:04pm] |
2 months old now! More like two and a half, but I just found my camera so its time for a late update. They're coming along great, I have crazy loops everywhere. I resectioned a bit on the side and am debating on doing it in the back as well, but overall I'm so much happier with this set than my last. ( pics )

i gave my bf dreads about a month ago. there is a picture of him in the bathtub. but you cant see any nipple or ass or anything. we are interested in naughty knotty... he is working on my dreads. i only have about 6. so ( here ) is the lil' timeline. he has about 108 dreads. some are very tight. some are not so tight...but they are tighter than they look in the last pictures (the ends are tighter than loose hair) and they are all very beautiful and loved very much! he is pretty good with a crochet hook. he did 2 in the front. enjoy for now. more will come later.

| add ME |
[06 Jan 2010|01:48pm] |
Every time I do this I find great new friends so I thought I would do it again in hopes of finding some cool new friends :)
I'm a single stay at home mom. I went through a very messy divorce this past June. My ex is a dramatic movie in the works, if you add me you can learn more. I have three children: a 10-year-old daughter, a 9-year-old daughter and a 4-year-old son. I love my kids but I'm not afraid to admit that most of the time they drive me crazy. Anyone who says differently would be lying. Yes I love my kids but there is more to be than being a mother.
I am bluntly honest. I have no inner monologue. Sometimes this gets me into trouble. My livejournal friends have told me they love this about me, but some people can't handle it because you know, obviously they must be close minded and afraid of the truth....and as for those people, I don't care.. There's no sugar coating anything in my journal. I tell it like it is, like it or not. You'll find that I am an open book, there's no question I won't answer and nothing that freaks me out or scares me away.
My journal is random.... You never know what you're going to get. I discuss a wide variety of things from my family, life, drugs, self injury, depression, total bullshit, project 365, I post things from whats going on with my kids, to whats going on with me, or how I want to twist my ex into a pretzel and more. I refuse to censor myself on the one thing I have where I can be myself. I won't change for anyone. I did that for too many years and I refuse to be a doormat anymore.
I suffer from depression, anxiety, agoraphobia and countless other things. I try to be positive but some days its hard. Most of my 'good' friends are online because people tend to be extremely stuck up where I live so I avoid them. Most of my IRL friends are friends I have had my entire life or more than half of it.
Hobbies? What are those? Seriously though I don't do much besides things online- livejournal, twitter, youtube. I love to read but have to be in the mood and then I'll read like 5 books in a week. I like to shop when the stores are empty so I don't have to deal with crowds. I love makeup so most of my play money goes there.
More or less I'm a regular person who has lived through a unique situation and everyone tells me I should write my life story because I have a best seller. Someday I may do that. Probably not though because I can never sit still for long...lol
I post very frequently, and often long entries. I have a lot to say. You can check my user information for all my 'interests'. They are mostly listed there. I get along with everyone, its just a matter of people getting along with me ;) I do prefer people over 18 since my journal contains adult concepts. I don't friend cut people unless they cut me first because after all, I'm not keeping you if you aren't keeping me, lol. Or if I add you and you don't add me back within 24 hours. Yep, I'm that much of a bitch...suck it up. But otherwise I don't believe in friend cuts, I accept ALL people and enjoy learning and listening to others because EVERYONE is unique. I'm not the BEST person at commenting so if you like people who comment to every post you make, don't add me. Also I don't expect people to comment to everything I post because I'm not doing livejournal to be an attention whore. I comment when I have something to say, but I read every entry people post.
Sound cool? Add me :D

I got my new and incredible geeky t shirt today :) so to celebrate I'm going to share some new pics of my dreads, not posted here in awhile so here they are. I'm still relentlessly amazed at their progress, texture and the changes that have occurred over the past year or so.

| TECO prime time program |
[06 Jan 2010|01:08am] |
|
Are any of you in TECO's prime time program--where they install a regulator that controls certain appliances in exchange for a discount on your power bill? If so is there any way to override it? Mine says they're controlling my heat pump. And as long as they are it's blowing cold air in my house.

Happy new year GUDU! 2009 brought me everything I wanted and some things I never needed [like probation ):], but all in all, it was one of the best years of my life. I fell in love, got my dreads back, turned 21, had so many firsts, so many amazing experiences ... the ups I will remember more than the downs, for sure.
Anyway ...

Hello GUDU! I've been a longtime lurker and finally started my dreads a month ago. Unfortunately, I'm having some issues with them already and I was hoping I could get some advice.

I look goofy, but this was taken, literally, a few moments before I posted this. :)
Um, let's see.
I have a lot of friends on my flist (I don't do friend cuts), but most of them don't post often. I'd like for my friend's page to be more active with journals, not just communities!
About myself?
(copied from my profile)
My name is Tabitha. I'm 20 years old, and I'm originally from Missouri. I moved to Salt Lake City, Utah, back in September 2008. I have an amazing boyfriend who is my first healthy relationship, and things are going well at the moment.
I love to read and libraries seem to calm my nerves. Working and going to school, working on my bachelors for Business Administration. Just trying to make my life worthwhile.
I post about everything in my life. It's been told that is complicated, and sometimes confusing, so that's a warning. I have anxiety and paranoia, so sometimes I'm all over the place! I especially post a lot when I'm having an episode, be it depression or extreme happiness.
check out my journal, post on the friends only post if you want to be added. :)

I'm Michelle, and I find it necessary to let you know that everytime I post something like this I picture myself giving a little intro speech for AA or something. But no, I don't drink or do drugs anymore.
Getting back on topic, I've always lived in Illinois. And it's not like Chicago or anything exciting, I live in Belleville which is in southern Illinois. And no, I don't know why I'm going into detail on this instead of saying St Louis like I usually do. I'd kind of like to move to Arizona, but I'm not sure if I could stand the heat in the summer. Maybe someday though.
I don't have an exciting life. I'm a total nerd in almost any way possible. I love marching band, video games, and reading. And I take German. The best classic video game console is Super Nintendo, and if you want to argue that you better have some good points. The books I read don't really have anything in common. I love all the Harry Potter books, and before the movie I actually enjoyed the first book in the Twilight series. They just got worse and worse as they went on. Right now I'm reading Darkly Dreaming Dexter because I love the show Dexter and figured the books are usually better so why not. I don't usually stay hooked on TV shows, but I absolutely love Queer As Folk, Dexter, and House.
I literally would have no life without music. I probably wouldn't even have any friends. I've played trombone for five years and love it. A lot of people whine about having a competitive marching band, but I think it's awesome. A lot of people say that they listen to every kind of music without meaning it, but I honestly enjoy almost everything. I'm a big metalhead, but I also listen to hip hop, rap, classical, techno, sometimes opera, jazz, and even some pop. But generally various types of rock. Don't ask me to pick a favorite band because it won't happen. And yes, I do listen to that annoying metal with double bass peddles and people screaming.
I feel like I've rambled enough which I tend to do a lot. I'll pretty much add anyone even if you seem like someone who would annoy me at first. I'm open. Common interests get you bonus points. I post about my days when it's something that I feel like remembering, otherwise it's random things I feel like discussing. And yes, I comment despite the fact that I have to sit for ten minutes and think of something to say.
I prefer that you comment on this post if you want to add me, but if you comment on here it's fine.
